The oil, which is used in perfume compositions, is extracted from the bark and branches of a tree called the cinnamon tree, through a process of steam distillation. In perfumes, cinnamon is a spicy note that brings depth and warmth to a fragrance. It has a sweet, pungent and strong aroma that has a relaxing effect and stimulates blood circulation.
