Exceptional notes
Agar - It is also known as oud. It is a resin that is extracted from aloe trees. In order for oud to form in the tree, it must be infected with a particular species of fungus. In defence against the parasite, it produces this precious resin. The smell of agar is unique - balsamic, smoky, slightly sweet, woody and pungent. In order to obtain a sufficiently intense oud, the tree has to be diseased for at least several years. Its smell also depends, for example, on where the tree grows and where the resin is produced. Because of the way it is extracted, it is one of the most expensive and valuable ingredients in perfumes.
Cardamom - It is one of the world's oldest and most expensive spices. As far back as ancient Egypt, its unique fragrance was used. The fragrance oil is extracted from the dried fruit. It has a mild, spicy aroma with a slight citrus note. Cardamom is considered an aphrodisiac.
Sandalwood - Sandalwood oil is obtained by distilling the wood with steam. Its scent is sweet, resinous, spicy and very sensual. It introduces a distinct woody note to the perfume with a touch of freshness. It is one of the most precious ingredients in perfume.
